This project represents my inaugural foray into residential design, characterized by extensive collaboration with the client and colleagues. Situated on a sloped, north-facing wooded lot, optimal views were strategically oriented to afford picturesque views while mitigating southern radiant heat. The driveway was thoughtfully designed following permaculture principles, specifically to regulate runoff and mitigate erosion. Preserving the native vegetation was a key goal, demonstrating a commitment to blending the structure seamlessly into its natural surroundings.
