Portal II

Portal II, 2014, approximately 5000 yards of arm-knitted plarn (plastic yarn) cut from plastic trash & garment bags

Portal II reflects an ongoing fascination with the idea of accessing the ineffable. Repetitive and mundane activity as a means of meditation and accumulation. Made of 5 stitch rows, each woven strand is arranged in the shape of a Fermat’s spiral.
